Update on our post on VCU’s Jefferson Davis Memorial Chapel.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported on Jan. 8, 2020 about the beginning of the removal of Confederate-associated names from VCU buildings and other commemorations. The Shockoe Examiner (Selden) posted about the Jefferson Davis Memorial Chapel back in March of 2019. That essay, "VCU’s Jefferson Davis Memorial Chapel - A threadbare tribute to the Confederate President" is available to read HERE. It documents the history of that ill-fated chapel that was opened on the 17th floor of MCV's West Hospital in 1960. It is now closed. Good riddance.
