So where was this house?

Built in the early 1890s, this Richmond building was demolished in the 1950s.
The image dates from the late 1940s. Where was it?

Franklin Street - where the Franklin Street Gym now stands.

We have a winner. Yes, it stood on the 800 block of W. Franklin Street on the south side of the street. The building to the right is the Ritter-Hickock House which still stands. The brownstone building in question was torn down when the Gym was expanded - the back part of the house still remains.
