Ah...another image I wish I'd known of for 'Richmond In Ragtime." When President Taft came and his motorcade tried to enter Hollywood, the then keeper refused to allow him entry because at the time automobiles weren't allowed in Hollywood! When Mayor D.C. Richardson called the keeper's supervisor, the backed him up. I would've loved to heard that conversation. Taft's car was granted entrance, but only after deliberations.
